UAE Distributes Winter Aid to 12,500 Displaced Gazans

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has concluded a significant humanitarian operation, distributing winter clothing to 12,500 displaced persons in southern Gaza under “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3,” the largest relief initiative in the region.

The operation began on Saturday morning at the largest shelter site near Al-Aqsa University in Khan Younis. It aims to meet the immediate needs of displaced Palestinians enduring harsh winter conditions.

Hamad Al Neyadi, Head of the UAE Relief Mission, stressed that the initiative reflects the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. “The UAE continues to support the residents of Gaza, providing food, medicine, and shelter tents to alleviate their suffering and meet their essential needs,” Al Neyadi said.

The next phase of the relief operation will focus on repairing critical infrastructure, including water lines and sewage systems, as well as supporting bakeries and soup kitchens to increase food security for displaced families and those returning to their homes.

This initiative underlines the UAE’s continued commitment to humanitarian assistance in Gaza and addresses the immediate and long-term challenges faced by its residents.
