The new BJP government in Haryana will be sworn in on October 17, with the oath-taking ceremony set to take place at Panchkula’s Dusshera Ground in Sector 5 at 10 a.m., according to a party statement. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with senior BJP leaders and chief ministers from other states, will attend the event.

While the BJP has yet to officially announce its choice for Chief Minister, reports suggest that Nayab Singh Saini is expected to continue in the role. Saini, who replaced Manohar Lal Khattar as Chief Minister in March, played a key role in securing the party’s victory in the recent assembly elections.

The BJP achieved its best-ever result in Haryana, winning 48 seats—11 more than the Congress. Meanwhile, the Janta Jannayak Party (JJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were left with no seats, and the INLD secured only two. The BJP overcame a decade of anti-incumbency and defied exit polls that had predicted a landslide win for the Congress.
