Woman, with Boyfriend, Kills Mother; Both Arrested
The murder occurred early Monday morning when 45-year-old Rukhsana Khatoon awoke to find her 20-year-old married daughter, Muskaan, asleep in her room with her boyfriend, Mohammad Javed, 22.

A 20-year-old married woman was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly killing her mother with the help of her boyfriend after police suspected the mother had caught them in a compromising situation in Alawalpur, Nuh.
According to police, the incident happened early Monday morning when 45-year-old Rukhsana Khatoon awoke to find her daughter, Muskaan, with her boyfriend, Mohammad Javed, 22, in her room. Investigators reported that Rukhsana threatened to reveal the relationship to Javed’s family, leading the couple to allegedly smother her with a pillow—Javed applying the pillow while Muskaan restrained her mother.
Police stated that Muskaan, who married seven months ago, had returned home to attend a family wedding and arranged to meet Javed as her father, Mohammad Izhar, was away. Following the murder, the pair reportedly placed Rukhsana’s body back on her bed to make it appear she was asleep, and Javed then fled the scene.
Krishan Kumar, Nuh Police’s public relations officer, said family members, suspicious of foul play, contacted police, leading to Muskaan’s arrest on Tuesday. She confessed to the crime during questioning. An FIR was filed based on the complaint from Muskaan’s uncle, Mohammad Nauman, charging Muskaan and Javed under Section 103(1) (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Sadar police station in Nuh on Monday night.
