Woman Kills Husband in Bhubaneswar, Arrested by Police

Police have arrested 24-year-old Sangita Bara for allegedly murdering her husband, 32-year-old driver Sudip Bara, in Kadalidhipa village under Sagjore panchayat in Sundargarh district.
The Incident
The incident occurred on Saturday night when Sudip returned home in an inebriated state, and an argument ensued between the couple. Sangita confronted him about his drinking habit, which led to a heated exchange. When Sudip attempted to assault her, Sangita retaliated by striking him on the head with a crowbar, killing him.
Investigation and Arrest
After the incident, Sangita covered Sudip’s body with clothes and surrendered to the police the next morning at Kansbahal police station. A forensic team, along with SDPO B.B. Bhoi and officers from Kansbahal and Rajgangpur police stations, visited the crime scene, seized the crowbar, and sent Sudip’s body for post-mortem. Sangita was arrested on Sunday afternoon.
Ongoing Investigation
Police are investigating the case further, and the SDPO has assured that investigators will examine all aspects thoroughly. The couple has two sons, aged 9 and 7, who are now without their father due to the tragic incident.
