Woman kills her husband in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur, accused of having affair with lover

A woman, with the help of her lover, killed her husband and dumped his body on a road in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur. The woman, identified as Pratima, conspired with her husband’s friend, Kanhaiya Pandey, to carry out the heinous crime, according to local police.
On the 17th of August, Police found a lifeless body with its slit throat dumped along a deserted road. The victim was later identified as Sohit Joshi, who worked as an auto-rickshaw driver.
Subsequently, the police launched an investigation and found that the accused Kanhaiya had developed a friendship with Sohit 9 years ago in 2014 when he was jailed in connection with a case registered under the POCSO Act.
After his release from jail, Kanhaiya started visiting Sohit’s home, which eventually led to an affair with Sohit’s wife, Pratima. The duo then conspired to eliminate Sohit to be together.
To execute the murder, Kanhaiya took the help of his friends Abhinav Tiwari and Nandu. Abhinav, who was also known to Sohit, took the latter to a hospital under the pretext of a medical emergency.
Kanhaiya with another friend, Pradeep Kumar, arrived at the spot, killed Sohit by slitting his throat, and later dumped his body before fleeing the scene.
Police have arrested the woman, her lover, and his friends in connection with the case.
