Bijnor: A 60-year-old woman from Umri Sabjipur in Moradabad’s Pakbara area has filed a case against nine individuals, including her daughter-in-law, accusing them of murdering her two sons.
Parveen Jahan alleged that the accused staged the double murder as an accident, which occurred on October 20, 2024, in the Katghar area. “Mukim Khan, a resident of Umri Sabjipur, lured my sons—Munna (30) and Chotu (27)—to Katghar under the pretext of transporting cement bags. He, along with others, murdered them and disguised their deaths as an accident,” Jahan claimed.
She further alleged that Chotu’s wife, Shahana Begum, who had strained relations with her husband and was friends with Mukim, was also involved in the crime. According to Jahan, Shahana and an accomplice even made a video call to others, showing the brothers’ lifeless bodies.
After the police initially refused to register her complaint, Jahan approached the court seeking justice. Following the court’s directive, Katghar police registered the case. Katghar SHO Sanjay Kumar confirmed, “A case has been registered against the accused, and an investigation is underway.”
