Woman and Her Nephew Arrested in Haryana for Cow Slaughtering
The police seized 180 kg of beef, an axe, a motorcycle, two sickles, and other items from the scene. An FIR has been filed against three individuals at the Pinangwa police station, authorities reported.
On Tuesday, Nuh Police raided the residence of a suspect allegedly involved in cow slaughter in Khanpur Ghati village and arrested a woman and her nephew, according to officials. The woman’s husband managed to escape during the operation. The accused were reportedly supplying beef to nearby areas using a motorcycle, packing it in polythene bags, police added.
During the raid, police recovered 180 kg of beef, an axe, a motorcycle, two sickles, and other items from the location. An FIR has been filed against three suspects at the Pinangwa police station, authorities confirmed.
According to the police, they received information that Attaullah, a resident of Khanpur Ghati village, and his nephew Asfaq, a resident of Khoh village in Rajasthan’s Deeg district, were involved in cow slaughter. Acting on the tip-off, police, accompanied by the village sarpanch, raided Attaullah’s house and apprehended the accused in the act.
As the police moved in to make arrests, the suspects attempted to flee. While Attaullah escaped by jumping over a wall, the police managed to detain his wife, Ruksina, and his nephew, Asfaq. “An FIR has been registered, and the two accused have been arrested. Both were presented in a city court and have been sent to judicial custody. Efforts are underway to apprehend the main accused, Attaullah, and he will be arrested soon,” said Inspector Subhash Chand, SHO of Pinangwa police station.
