Salman Khan has once again been targeted with a fresh death threat. The actor has been under threat for some time now, particularly from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The tension escalated after two assailants opened fire outside Khan’s residence in April last year. Matters grew more serious following the assassination of Baba Siddique, prompting authorities to significantly heighten security around the star, including installing bulletproof glass in his home’s balcony.

Latest Threat Targets Salman’s Life and Car

The latest threat was reportedly sent to the WhatsApp number of Mumbai’s Transport Department in Worli. The chilling message threatened to kill Salman by breaking into his home and also included a warning about bombing his car. Following the alert, a complaint was filed at the Worli police station against an unidentified individual. Investigations are currently underway to trace the origin and credibility of the message. While it’s not confirmed if the threat is connected to Lawrence Bishnoi, suspicion remains due to his long-standing animosity towards the actor.

Bishnoi has openly declared his intent to take revenge against Salman Khan for the alleged killing of a blackbuck during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain—a sacred animal for the Bishnoi community. In a 2018 court appearance in Jodhpur, Bishnoi even said, “We will kill Salman Khan. Everyone will know once we take action. I have not done anything as of now; they are accusing me of crimes for no reason.”

Salman Reacts to Threats

While promoting his film Sikandar, Salman finally spoke out about the threats. Addressing the media, he calmly said, “Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai. Kabhi kabhi itne logon ko saath mein leke chalna padta hai, bas wohi problem ho jaati hai.” His response reflected a mix of faith and resignation while acknowledging the added burden of security.

On the Professional Front

Salman’s latest release, Sikandar, hit theatres on Eid but didn’t quite reach the benchmark set by his previous blockbusters. However, the film did manage to cross ₹100 crore at the box office. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the action drama stars Salman as Raja Sanjay “Sikandar” Rajkot—a man on the run from a vengeful politician. The movie features a star-studded cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Kishore, Jatin Sarna, and Sanjay Kapoor. Known for its high-octane action and gripping drama, the film showcases Salman in a powerful role once again.
