Veteran Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya Faces Dishonor: Told Music Directors Humiliated Him After Winning Award for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Yes Boss’ Film

Abhijeet Bhattacharya is one of the most valued Veteran and long-serving Singer in the Music industry. He has sung around 6000 songs for Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Ajay Devgan, Salman Khan, and other old-timer heroes. He has sung ‘Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaoon’ track for Shah Rukh Khan in the ‘Yes Boss’ film and won the award for singing.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, he spoke about his experiences in the music industry and said how he faced disrespect from music directors in those days. Abhijeet revealed memories of his bad times when directors “assigned him no tracks to sing.” He also mentioned that after winning the award for ‘Yes Boss,’ music directors would not choose him to sing for their tracks.
Abhijeet Bhattacharya, in the interview, said that he has been insulted, criticized, and accepted ups and downs in the music industry. He said, “It has happened a lot with me. When music directors would get a Shah Rukh Khan film, they wouldn’t give me a chance to sing, no matter how close I was to them.”
Abhijeet was mistreated by other music composers and directors when he sang for ‘Yes Boss.’ He further added, “When I won an award for my song in Yes Boss, mine was the only non-blockbuster song among all the blockbuster tracks from films like Border, Pardes, and Dil To Pagal Hai… After that, many music directors would openly tell me that they won’t give their song to me.”
Abhijeet Bhattacharya has sung 4 tracks for the comedy & romantic movie ‘Yes Boss,’ and out of 4, he won the first Filmfare award for ‘Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaoon.’ He also said that after singing these tracks, most of the music directors decided not to give him songs to sing.
In his whole singing life, he has sung more than 6000 songs, and still, the new generation likes his most famous songs. In his singing career, he sang in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Punjabi songs as well, and he made most actors famous with his blockbuster songs.
