UP Woman Murders Former Lover with the Help of Her Boyfriend
CCTV footage captured the accused riding a motorcycle, chasing the victim, Diljit, who was on a scooter on Holi night. During the chase, Rajkumar fired shots at Diljit, leading to his death.

A woman, along with her new boyfriend, allegedly plotted and carried out the murder of her former lover in Varanasi’s Ausanganj area on Holi night (March 14), according to officials. Both accused were arrested a few days after the incident.
As per the police investigation, the victim, Diljit, who worked in wedding and event decorations, was standing outside his home around 11 p.m., talking to his ex-girlfriend. At that moment, a man wearing a helmet approached on a bike and fired a shot at Diljit’s chest while still moving. The entire crime was captured on CCTV.
In the footage, the assailant, riding a TVS Splendor and wearing a black helmet, is seen chasing Diljit, who was on a scooter. The shooter aimed his gun at Diljit during the chase and eventually shot him in the chest. Though Diljit was rushed to a hospital, he was declared dead on arrival.
About 50 minutes later, Rajkumar was spotted parking behind a tempo before fleeing the scene. Sources revealed that Diljit, recently engaged, was still in touch with his ex-girlfriend and unable to break ties. To end the ongoing connection, the woman sought help from her current boyfriend, Rajkumar, a resident of Chandauli.
Interestingly, Diljit had once introduced Rajkumar to his then-girlfriend, and the three shared a close bond that later soured. Rajkumar’s involvement eventually led to the breakup, but Diljit continued pursuing his ex.
Intent on eliminating him, the woman and Rajkumar allegedly spent a month planning the murder. Police stated that Rajkumar even displayed the firearm to the woman during a video call before executing the crime.
