A man from Bareilly, UP, has been booked for allegedly posting “I love you, Pakistan” on social media, according to PTI, citing police officials. Izzatnagar Station House Officer (SHO) Vijendra Singh identified the accused as Tabrez Alam, a resident of Shikarpur Chaudhary Gautia.

The matter surfaced after a social media group named “Akhand Bharat Sankalp Nath Nagari 25” flagged the post on platform X, claiming it threatened India’s unity and integrity while demanding strict action against Tabrez.

Following the complaint, an FIR was registered under Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for acts considered harmful to national integrity, the SHO added.

Officials also revealed that Tabrez had previously been accused of abducting a Hindu girl and attempting to convert her. As per a complaint filed by the girl’s father, she left home with jewelry and cash after allegedly being lured by Tabrez. He reportedly took her to Ghaziabad, where he tried to force her conversion and threatened to kill her if she refused. The girl remains missing, and police efforts to trace her are ongoing.

Separately, earlier this month, two employees from ordnance factories in Uttar Pradesh were arrested for allegedly leaking sensitive information to Pakistan’s ISI. Vikas Kumar, 38, a junior manager at the Kanpur factory, and Ravindra Kumar, 45, from Firozabad, were arrested by the Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) on March 13 and 19, respectively. Both were lured by a fake Facebook profile named Neha Sharma and shared confidential information with ISI handlers in exchange for easy money.
