Two Women Arrested for Smuggling Marijuana on a Train in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Two female students were arrested by the Government Railway Police and Railway Protection Force for smuggling marijuana. Officials seized 17 kg of marijuana valued at ₹4.4 lakh.
The accused, Ishrat Bano (20) from Madhya Pradesh and Kanchan (21) from Chhattisgarh, were apprehended during a surprise inspection at Secunderabad railway station. They were transporting the contraband from Visakhapatnam to Solapur.
Investigations revealed that the mastermind, identified as Raja from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, had recruited Bano through Instagram, offering ₹1,000 per packet to deliver the drugs. Bano then involved her school friend Kanchan. The two were caught on the Konark Express.
