Two Ugandan Women, with Others, were Detained for Involvement in Prostitution
Hyderabad: Task Force officers arrested two Ugandan women, Nayebare Doreen and Komuhangi Ritah, on Sunday for allegedly operating a prostitution racket from a flat in Tarnaka. A customer, Potturi Anjan Kumar, was also detained during the raid, according to officials.
Acting on credible information, the North Zone Task Force, in collaboration with the Osmania University police, raided a flat in Nagarjuna Nagar and apprehended the trio. Investigations revealed that Doreen arrived in Hyderabad on a visit visa a year ago and became acquainted with Ritah, who was also on a visit visa. The two rented the flat four months ago and reportedly began running the illegal operation.
Doreen had reportedly listed her contact number on a website. When contacted by potential clients, she would initially provide a location in Secunderabad and later guide them to the flat through phone directions, explained Task Force Deputy Commissioner of Police YVS Sudheendra.
