Trump Slams New York Prosecutor and Joe Biden at His Mega Rally in New Jersey
Key highlights from Former President Donald Trump’s mega rally in New Jersey
In his rally, the former president praised the governor of North Dakota, Doug Burgum. He stated, “You won’t find anybody better than this gentleman in terms of his knowledge of—you know, he made his money in technology—but probably knows more about energy than anybody I know. So get ready for something, ok just get ready. But Doug has been incredible.”
Trump also slammed his November rival Joe Biden for his stance on Israel, calling it “one of the worst betrayals of an American ally in the history of our country.” He also criticized Biden for his position on the pro-Palestine protests in universities. Trump insulted Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg, who raised the money case against him, declaring it a sham. He stated, “As you know, I’ve come from New York, where I’m being forced to endure a Biden show trial all done by Biden… all being done by him, carried out by a radical Democrat district attorney. Who is he? Fat Alvin. Corrupt Guy.” He went on baselessly claiming that the presiding judge over the trial is “highly conflicted.”
Some people close to Trump have claimed that they were surprised by his traditional campaigning on the sidelines of the trial, given that the general elections are six months away. Some of them also questioned his sense in choosing New Jersey over more crucial battlegrounds, stating, “It’s an odd choice.”
