Tragic Shooting Incident in Delhi: Woman Shot While Protecting Son; One Arrested

In a tragic incident, a woman was allegedly shot at while trying to calm down two guys after they argued with her kid in the Bhalswa Dairy region of northwest Delhi. The Delhi police reported this incident on Tuesday, shedding light on the harrowing events that took place on Sunday evening.

On Sunday, around 11:05 p.m., police received information about the incident. They arrived at the location in Bhalswa’s SSN Colony. According to them, Sushila Devi, the injured person, had already been transported to the BJRM hospital.

According to police statements, the incident began around 7:00 p.m. when a man known to the complainant and his friend were standing outside a wine store in Swaroop Nagar. A man he knew entered and began arguing with his friend. When the complainant attempted to resolve the situation, the man allegedly began abusing both of them.

Subsequently, the aggressor also made a call to a friend. Then, the two approached Sushila’s home around nine o’clock and began berating and threatening her son. According to the authorities, Sushila and her daughter attempted to calm them down after learning that one of them was in possession of a gun.

One of them fired at Sushila before escaping the area. She was transported to the BJRM hospital after suffering a left shoulder injury. She was then directed to LNJP Hospital, according to the police.

Both the accused are on the run. The police stated that they are making efforts to get them arrested as soon as possible.
