Three Women Detained in Connection with Two Theft Cases
Mangaluru: Puttur Town police arrested three women in connection with two theft cases.

In the first case, on December 19, at the Puttur KSRTC bus stand, a gold ornament was stolen from Saraswati, a resident of Golthamajalu village. Following her complaint, police apprehended Jyoti and Yashoda, residents of Rajajinagar, Bengaluru, and recovered stolen gold worth ₹25,000.
In the second case, on December 13, 2024, thieves posing as customers stole three gold rings weighing 9 grams, valued at ₹77,000, from a jeweler’s shop on Court Road, Puttur.
After the store owner, Shivaprasad Bhat, filed a complaint on December 19, police arrested Vidya, a resident of Neermarga, Mangaluru, and recovered the stolen gold worth ₹77,000.
