Three Delhi Men Killed in SUV-Truck Crash in Saharanpur

Shamli: Three men from Delhi lost their lives in a tragic accident when their SUV collided with a truck on the Delhi-Saharanpur highway near the Ganganahar Jandhedi bridge, under the jurisdiction of Nanauta police station in Saharanpur district, late Tuesday night. The trio was en route to Maa Shakumbhari Devi Dham in Saharanpur.
The victims have been identified as Akash Verma (22), Ansh alias Dimpy (24), and Harsh Pandit (23), all residents of Shahdara.
According to SP (Rural) Sagar Jain, “Initial investigations indicate that the truck driver applied sudden brakes, causing the SUV to crash into the rear of the truck. The truck has been seized, but the driver fled the scene. A complaint has been registered by Akash’s father, Bhopal Singh, at Nanauta police station, and appropriate action will follow.”
Nanauta SHO Sachin Kumar Poonia shared that Akash owned a jewellery shop in Baghpat, Ansh was part of his family’s sewing machine business, and Harsh was pursuing his graduation. “The three had first travelled from Delhi to Khekra to attend a wedding. After the ceremony, they proceeded towards the Shakumbhari Devi temple,” Poonia added.
