According to reports, Rihanna will sing at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding reception in Jamnagar today, March 1. We reveal to you how much money she receives for her work.
Pop sensation Rihanna is receiving an enormous sum of money for the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Rihanna is a touring musician and rarely performs privately. India Today has learned from sources that she will be paid between $8 and $9 million (about Rs. 66 and 74 crore) for the performance. ‘An evening in Everland’ is the event that starts off the festivities tonight, March 1.
The singer and her group arrived in Jamnagar, Gujarat, on February 29. Photographers were snapping pictures of her as she left the airport.
There is talk that Rihanna will be doing a large-scale set that will feature her smash song “Diamonds” as well as a medley of other songs. It seems that the majority of the expenses incurred for her performance were related to moving her stage gear and changing her and the background vocalists’ outfits.
With around 121.017 million viewers, the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show was one of the most watched Super Bowl show events and featured Rihanna’s final performance.
She is hardly the first foreign musician to play at an Ambani wedding, either. During Beyoncé’s 2018 performance at Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s sangeet, there were rumours that she was paid around $4 million (approximately Rs 33 crore).
Diljit Dosanjh is anticipated to perform for the attendees at the lavish event in addition to Rihanna. The pre-wedding will also feature a significant highlight from internationally recognised illusionist David Blaine.
Leading lights have gathered in Jamnagar for the biggest wedding of the year, including Shah Rukh Khan and his family, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir, Arjun Kapoor, and ‘Jawan’ filmmaker Atlee and his family.
