The Unthinkable: Woman Kills Stepson, Hides Body in Sewer Tank

According to the police, a woman has been apprehended on Tuesday for allegedly murdering her stepson and concealing his body in a sewer tank.
The authorities received a report on Monday stating that 11-year-old Shadab had gone missing on October 15. Upon reviewing the CCTV footage in the vicinity, it was discovered that the boy never left his residence in the Govind Puri area on Sunday evening. This raised suspicions, prompting a thorough search of the house, resulting in the discovery of the minor’s body in a sewer tank, as confirmed by Additional Commissioner (Modi Nagar circle) Gyan Prakash Rai.
During the investigation, the victim’s family members were interrogated, leading to the confession of Rekha, the stepmother, who admitted to killing Shadab with the assistance of her friend Poonam.
Rekha informed the police that the murder was premeditated and took place when Shadab returned home after playing outside. It was revealed that Rekha, who is the second wife of Rahul Sen, harbored animosity towards her stepson.
Sen, who operates a salon, divorced his first wife three years ago. Prior to her arrest, Rekha had fabricated a story of her stepson’s abduction in front of her husband and in-laws.
ACP Rai stated that Rekha and her accomplice Poonam have been incarcerated as of 17 October’s evening.
