Following the success of his earlier collaborations with American rappers Latto and Jack Harlow, BTS’s Jungkook is scheduled to release his debut solo album, GOLDEN, which will feature only English songs. This Monday, the tracklist for Jungkook’s GOLDEN was revealed on Big Hit’s X (formerly Twitter) account.
The album will feature Major Lazer’s song “Closer to You,” according to the tracklist. DJ Snake and The Maknae will also be working together on his song “Please Don’t Change.” For other tracks including Yes or No, Hate You, Somebody, Too Sad To Dance, Shot Glass of Tears, and the title tune Standing Next to You, he will also be working with Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran, and David Steward.
The all-English debut album is set to release on November 3 at 1 p.m. KST, with a total of 12 tracks. It will also include Jungkook’s previous solo songs, “Seven” (explicit and clean versions) featuring Latto and “3D” featuring Jack Harlow.
Golden is “inspired by the golden moments of Jungkook, the golden maknae [youngest member] of BTS and a solo artist,” according to a prior statement from BTS’s agency, as reported by Soompi. When asked, “What to expect from the album?”, they disclosed that Jungkook will be “making numerous appearances and delivering special stage performances alongside the release of GOLDEN.”
In response to the track lineup, fans have expressed their excitement for the forthcoming month, which is already jam-packed with several group releases and comebacks. A fan posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying, “OMG (oh my God)! This playlist is insane! Hate You, Too Sad To Dance, Shot Glass of Tears! I can’t wait for Jungkook to bring us to tears at the club.” Some said, “The album of the year is coming,” and some wished “November 3rd would come around sooner. This tracklist is gold! I will require some time to sort through all of these song titles and all of my current emotions. We now know the titles of Jungkook’s most recent masterpieces.”
