In a chilling crime from Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, police discovered a man’s body stuffed in a suitcase abandoned in a field—unveiling a murder rooted in betrayal and a forbidden affair. The victim, 30-year-old Naushad, had recently returned from the Gulf to his family home, unaware that his own suitcase would be used to dispose of his body.

His wife, Razia Sultana, later confessed to killing him with help from her lover—Naushad’s own nephew, Roman—and Roman’s friend, Himanshu. Razia admitted she saw her husband as a barrier to her affair and conspired to eliminate him. After the murder, the body was stuffed into a suitcase and dumped nearly 60 km away.

Naushad’s sister revealed that he had been the sole breadwinner, working abroad for years to support the family and build their home. She demanded capital punishment for the accused.

Deoria police have arrested Razia, while Roman and Himanshu remain absconding. Police said the suitcase’s address label helped identify the victim. The case adds to a series of recent brutal family murders in UP, including the similar Meerut case where a woman had her husband killed and hidden in a cement drum.
