Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has expressed disappointment over Colombia’s reaction to India’s military strikes under Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist camps. Colombia’s government had extended condolences to Pakistan for the loss of lives in the strikes.
Tharoor stated that India’s response was a matter of self-defense and not aggression, emphasizing the need for understanding and clarity on the issue. He urged Colombia to reconsider its view on the conflict, highlighting that there can be no equivalence between those who dispatch terrorists and those who resist them.
The Indian delegation, led by Tharoor, aims to dispel any misunderstandings and present concrete evidence linking the Pahalgam attack to Pakistan-based terror groups. Tharoor drew parallels between Colombia’s experience with terror attacks and India’s four-decade-long struggle against terrorism.
