BCCI president Jay Shah on 14th February confirmed Rohit Sharma’s captaincy to be retained in the upcoming T20 World Cup to be held in the USA and West Indies collectively in June 2024.

Jay Shah stated it during the inauguration of the Niranjan Shah Stadium. “We may have lost the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup. But we won hearts thereby winning 10 matches in a row. I am confident that India will lift the 2024 T20 World Cup under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy at Barbados,” Jay Shah said.
