Due to its ground-breaking decision in the realm of sports, the Madhya Pradesh government is currently making waves among young people. The government of Madhya Pradesh has decided to launch the E-sports Academy after realizing the craze and its importance among young sports enthusiasts. According to recent news, Madhya Pradesh’s Sports Ministry takes a very important step for “e-sports” as the trend has increased among youth and e-gamers for e-sports in the country and the world.

The Madhya Pradesh Ministry of Sports and Youth Welfare released a notification on its official site, expressing confidence in positive results from their e-sports initiative. To ensure its success, the ministry plans to collaborate with renowned e-gamers and YouTubers from the country. Notably, Ajey Nagar, popularly known as CarryMinati, has partnered with his gaming company “Big Bang,” which was announced on Instagram by Ajey Nagar himself. Additionally, the government has allocated 20% reservation for other states to be part of the e-sports academy, aiming to promote the growth of e-sports nationwide. Madhya Pradesh will claim 80% of the stakes, solidifying its position as a major player in the e-sports realm.

What is the value of e-games in the global market and why is India considered a leader?

In the modern era, e-games are also in vogue in most countries including India. Recently, the President of India modified the legislation governing e-sports and asked to include “e-sports in the multi-program” from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Sports.

According to Article 77(3) of the Constitution, the President has the authority to enact regulations for the more convenient conduct of the Government of India’s business and for the distribution of said business among Ministers.

According to a gazette notice, E-sports will now fall under the “multi-sports event” category in India. Although the government hasn’t been actively involved in the country’s e-game industry, our kids have the potential to advance in it.

Leading nations in the technology sector, as well as many developed and Western nations that have created a framework for this sports policy, such as Finland and the United States, have recognized e-sports as a legitimate sport.

China and South Africa were among the first nations (along with South Korea) to recognize e-sports as a sport. Also joining are Nepal, Italy, Russia, and Denmark.

In September 2020, Ukraine formally recognized e-sports as sports. Large e-sports events are being organized in Asian nations like China, Japan, and Korea. E-gamers in this nation can win cash prizes worth millions of rupees in these competitions. Numerous successful e-sports competitions, including the Fortnite World Cup and Intel Extreme Masters, are held worldwide today. Due to the current popularity of these gamers, significant corporations have been formed to provide on a massive scale specialized modern devices for them, and they are also receiving sponsors wit promising offers.
