As the Rajasthan assembly poll date of November 25 approaches, Rahul Gandhi, along with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot, joined the campaign trail. During a rally in Churu, Gandhi accused the BJP-led Modi government of favoring Adani and big businessmen while alleging that demonetization adversely affected small businesses.

He emphasized the BJP’s alleged patronage of Adani in various industries, pointing to airports, ports, cement plants, and roads as examples. Gandhi contrasted PM Modi’s associations, highlighting his interactions with corporate entities and foreign dignitaries, questioning his lack of appearances alongside farmers or small traders.

Gandhi pledged the Congress’s commitment to fulfilling its promises, assuring that funds directed towards influential figures would instead benefit the country’s underprivileged sections. He stressed sincerity in commitments, vowing to deliver on assurances, unlike PM Modi.

Additionally, Gandhi warned against potential reversals of welfare schemes by the BJP, emphasizing the Congress’s focus on the poor, farmers, and small business owners. His joint appearance with Gehlot and Pilot aimed to project unity within the Congress amid speculation of internal discord.

Meanwhile, the BJP presented a manifesto outlining resolutions concerning farmers’ welfare, girl child initiatives, education, health infrastructure, and anti-corruption measures.

The Rajasthan assembly elections on November 25 will determine the political landscape of the state, with outcomes expected on December 3. The BJP seeks to maintain its electoral success against the Congress’s determined efforts to regain political ground.
