After a dry spell since the monsoon’s onset on June 24, residents can expect a downpour in the next two to three days, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials. The current lack of rain is attributed to the weakening of monsoon winds and clouds by the time they reached the city.
However, a new system is expected to form over the Bay of Bengal around Sunday, which will strengthen the monsoon system. Additionally, a Western Disturbance (WD) is likely to affect the region around the same time, increasing the chances of rain.
Meanwhile, the city experienced a rise in temperatures, with the maximum temperature reaching 37.2°C and the minimum temperature being 29.2°C. Over the next three days, the maximum temperature is expected to remain between 32°C and 34°C, while the minimum temperature will be between 26°C and 28°C.
