On Sunday, September 8, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and greetings extended to him by the Indian Diaspora and members of the Indian Overseas Congress in the city of Dallas, Texas, United States.
Rahul Gandhi said, “I am absolutely thrilled by the incredibly warm welcome I’ve been given in Dallas, Texas, USA, from the Indian Diaspora and members of the Indian Overseas Congress.”
Today, Rahul Gandhi had a meeting with the Indian Diaspora in Dallas, Texas, according to the scheduled events. A similar meeting with the Indian Diaspora is planned for September 9 in Washington, DC. The Indian Overseas Congress has been actively promoting the event via various social media posts on X (formerly Twitter), inviting interested individuals to register for the upcoming gathering. As per information available on the organization’s website, the meeting in Texas was held at the Toyota Music Factory in Dallas.
The event in Washington, DC, will start at 5:00 PM on Monday, September 9, and will last for three hours. It will take place at the Hilton Washington Dulles, near Dulles Airport, and will be focused on engaging with the Indian Diaspora.
Congress leader Surendra Rajput, a national media panelist, provided insights into Rahul Gandhi’s visit, mentioning that the former Wayanad MP plans to discuss “the India of his dreams,” the future of India, and the initiatives undertaken by the Congress for the country.
Rahul Gandhi traveled to the United States for the first time since the Lok Sabha elections in June. During his three-day visit, he met with business and academic leaders and had a meeting with the Indian Diaspora in Dallas, Texas, today.
