Following a bilateral meeting with Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced today that India and the Maldives will work together on several future projects. Muizzu, who arrived in India on Sunday for a five-day visit, received a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan earlier today.
President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Modi greeted the Maldivian President and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed upon their arrival. On Sunday, Muizzu was welcomed by Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Kiriti Vardhan Singh, as he arrived in India on an official invitation from President Murmu.
