Prayagraj: Men with Saffron Flags Scale Dargah Gate, Raise Slogans on Ram Navami

On Sunday, a group of men carrying saffron flags allegedly climbed the gate of Ghazi Miyan Ki Dargah in the Sikandra area of Prayagraj and raised slogans, an incident that coincided with Ram Navami processions taking place across the city. The act drew immediate attention, prompting police to rush to the spot and remove the individuals from the premises.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Ganga Nagar), Kuldeep Singh Gunawat, confirmed that the individuals involved were miscreants who engaged in disruptive behavior by waving saffron flags and shouting slogans at the religious site. He added that departmental action is being taken against police personnel who failed to maintain order during the incident.
The Ghazi Miyan Ki Dargah, a significant spiritual site, is known for being visited by both Hindu and Muslim devotees who come to offer ‘chadar’ as a mark of reverence. The DCP emphasized that legal action is underway and the matter is being thoroughly investigated.
