Prashant Kishor, a poll strategist, announced on Sunday that he would formally introduce Jan Suraaj as a political party on October 2, the day of Gandhi Jayanti.

Speaking to the party’s officials at Bapu Sabhaghar in Patna during the Jan Suraaj campaign, he declared that the party would have over a lakh office bearers when it first started on October 2. Kishor went on to say that party members would select the leaders of the Jan Suraaj party and that he would not be leading it.

Kishor, mentioning the motive of the party, said those who have allied themselves with the party are not for the party’s prospects. It’s not about Padyatra or Jan Suraaj. It’s more for the people because there wasn’t a better option for Bihar. People allied themselves with forces who agitated for one and banded together.

Prashant Kishor urged the employees to make efforts. Make a more pivotal role in preventing migration so the next generation of Bihari residents isn’t leaving the state in quest of better employment, healthcare, or educational opportunities. He asked for the party members to collaborate for a better work environment for future generations.

He asserted that the party would triumph in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Speaking on the party’s leadership, he said that elections for 25 of the top party positions would be held by a seven-member committee between August 15 and August 20.

Kishor further named a few people who would be included in the committee. Among them are Dr. Bhupendra Yadav from Samastipur, RN Singh from Begusarai, attorney Ganesh Ram from Siwan, retired IAS Suresh Sharma, Dr. Naseem from East Champaran, retired IAS Arvind Singh from Bhojpur, and Swarnalata Sahni from Muzaffarpur.
