‘Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire,’ starring Prabhas and Shruti Hassan, was originally scheduled for release in September but has been postponed. Renowned film trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on a recent Saturday that the film will now hit theaters in November. He stated, “#BreakingNews… PRABHAS: ‘SALAAR’ TO ARRIVE IN NOVEMBER… #Salaar is officially not arriving on September 28, 2023. Postproduction work for this #Prabhas starrer is in full swing. #HombaleFilms, the producers, are rescheduling the film for a November 2023 release. A new release date will be announced soon.”
Fans wasted no time connecting the delayed release of ‘Salaar’ to Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan,’ which is set to open in theaters next week on September 7. One fan quipped, “He must have seen the trailer of ‘Jawan’.” Another person humorously remarked, “The ‘Jawan’ trailer has given ‘Salaar’ makers quite a jolt.” Some even playfully dubbed it “Khauf-E-Jawan,” while a fan invoked a famous dialogue from Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Bhagam Bhag,’ saying, “Behen dar gayi…behen dar gayi.”
Previously, the makers of the upcoming pan-Indian action thriller film ‘Salaar’ unveiled its official teaser. The teaser provided glimpses of the thrilling action within the extensive universe created by director Prashanth Neel. Boasting a grand scale and an ensemble cast, the teaser tantalized viewers with captivating action sequences, reserving the major content for the forthcoming theatrical trailer, set to be released soon.
In the teaser, veteran actor Tinnu Anand fearlessly confronts a group of armed men, who have their guns trained on him, hinting at the intense action in the film. The teaser also introduces Prabhas, implying his role as the king of the jungle. While the teaser showcases actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan’s presence is notably absent.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, renowned for the ‘KGF’ series, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, the same production house behind the successful ‘KGF’ franchise, ‘Salaar’ promises a level of grandeur never before seen on the big screen. The film features a remarkable 14 massive sets constructed in and around Ramoji Film City. ‘Salaar’ will be released in five languages, including Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi, creating widespread anticipation among fans.
