Prime Minister Narendra Modi plans to convene a virtual G20 Leaders’ Summit, signaling global commitment to turning the ambitious goals outlined in the Delhi Declaration into tangible actions. The virtual summit, unprecedented in G20 history, demonstrates India’s commitment to fostering a just and equitable world through decisive and inclusive measures.
The 18th G20 Leaders’ Summit resulted in the Delhi Declaration, which contains 83 paragraphs, 87 outcomes, and 118 documents, representing a comprehensive roadmap for addressing global challenges. With the G20 presidency until November 30, India hopes to maintain the momentum generated by the physical summit by working with G20 countries to uphold the policy guidance outlined in the New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration.
Leaders from G20 member countries, the Chair of the African Union, nine Guest countries, and heads of 11 International Organizations are expected to participate in the virtual summit. This all-inclusive approach highlights the collaborative spirit required to navigate complex economic challenges.
The virtual summit represents a groundbreaking effort to translate discussions and declarations into actionable plans as India continues to play a pivotal role in the G20.
