PM Modi Announces, “Historic bills will be Presented During the Budget Session in his Customary Address”
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will introduce the budget on Saturday for the eighth year in a row.
The Budget session of Parliament begins on Friday with President Droupadi Murmu addressing a joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Following her speech, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Economic Survey separately in both Houses. The Union Budget for FY26 will be unveiled by Sitharaman on February 1.
This will mark Sitharaman’s eighth consecutive budget presentation.
As the longest and most significant session of the year, the Budget session will run until April 4. Both Houses will take a recess from February 13 and reconvene on March 10.
