A tragic incident unfolded in Pinjore, Haryana, when a young man was shot dead and his cousin injured in a gang-related attack. The deceased was identified as Sonu Nolta, while his cousin, Nitin Panwar, sustained a gunshot wound to the thigh.
According to eyewitnesses, the attack occurred on Thursday evening when Sonu and Nitin were waiting in their SUV after watching a movie at a mall. The accused, Piyush Piplani and Ankush, emerged from a nearby car and opened fire on Sonu, killing him on the spot. Nitin was rushed to PGIMER, Chandigarh, for treatment.
A video surfaced online, allegedly showing Piyush Piplani claiming responsibility for the attack and citing personal rivalry as the motive. He claimed to have acted on the directions of Anmol Bishnoi, brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. However, the police have stated that the initial investigation does not reveal any gang rivalry angle, as both the victim and the accused had known each other for years.
The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act. A manhunt is underway to arrest Piyush, Ankush, and their unidentified accomplices.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the area, and the police are working to unravel the motive behind the attack. The family and friends of the deceased are in shock, and the community is demanding justice for Sonu’s family.
The police have appealed to the public to come forward with any information that might help in the investigation. The case is being closely monitored, and the police are working to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
