Operation Sindoor: ‘It’s All Over Social Media’ — Pak Minister Fails to Prove Bogus Jet Strike Claim!

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has landed in trouble for not claiming that the Pakistani army shot down five Indian fighter jets. His bizarre argument? “It’s all over social media.” This comes just days after India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ successfully destroyed nine terrorist launchpads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
During an interview with CNN, Asif was asked for proof of Pakistan shooting down Indian fighter jets. Instead of giving facts, he said, “It’s all over the social media, on Indian social media, not on our social media. The debris of these jets fell into Kashmir. And it’s all over Indian media today, and they have admitted it.”
The anchor immediately shut him down, saying, “Sorry, but we have not invited you here to discuss social media rumours.”
When further asked which jets were shot down and what weapons Pakistan used, Asif was unable to give a direct answer. Instead, he defended Pakistan’s use of Chinese-made fighter jets, saying, “India buys planes from France; we buy from China or Russia. What is the issue?”
Pakistan’s Shocking Admission on Backing Terror Groups
This is not the first time Asif has been in the news for the wrong reasons. Last month, a video went viral in which he admitted that Pakistan has been funding and training terrorist groups for decades.
In the clip, when asked by Sky News if Pakistan supports terrorist groups, Asif replied, “Yes, we did this dirty work for the US and the West for 30 years. It was a mistake, and we paid the price for it.” His statement confirms what India has been saying for a long time – Pakistan shelters terrorists.
India’s Strike & Pakistan’s Fake News
On Wednesday, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, striking terror camps inside Pakistan in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. The Indian Air Force has confirmed that nine terror hideouts were destroyed, but there were no civilian casualties.
Pakistan acknowledged the attack but then spread the false claim that it had shot down five Indian aircraft. To counter this, India’s PIB Fact Check team busted several fake posts:
- A viral photo claims that a Rafale jet was shot down near Bahawalpur. Really? It was actually a MiG-21 crash that happened in Punjab in 2021.
- Another fake video claimed that the Indian Army has surrendered at Chora Post. Pakistan’s own minister Ataullah Tarar shared this lie without verifying it.
In the absence of any real evidence, Pakistan relies on social media myths to hide its failures.
