The much-anticipated trailer of Akshay Kumar’s forthcoming film ‘OMG 2’ was officially launched this past Thursday, setting off a flurry of excitement among eager audiences. As glimpses of this social comedy hit the screens, the buzz surrounding it quickly gained momentum.
Directed by Amit Rai, ‘OMG 2’ serves as a sequel to the widely acclaimed 2012 film ‘OMG – Oh My God,’ which was a worldwide success. With Akshay Kumar in the lead role, the original film also starred Paresh Rawal, and while Rawal is absent from the sequel, Kumar is joined by the remarkable Pankaj Tripathi, who promises to bring his own brand of brilliance to the screen.
The trailer promises to deliver situational comedy with a thought-provoking message that questions societal norms and beliefs. The story revolves around ‘Kanti,’ played by Pankaj Tripathi, who is seen fighting to deliver justice for his son. However, the twist is that ‘Kanti’ is both the accuser and the defender in his case. Yami Gautam plays a significant role as the opposition lawyer, adding further depth to the narrative. Akshay Kumar is shown to be portraying the character of a messenger of Lord Shiva, tasked with navigating the path of truth and righteousness to his true follower – ‘Kanti.’
The movie is reportedly facing a hurdle as, ahead of the trailer release, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has issued an “ADULT ONLY” certification to the film. The CBFC has also requested certain cuts and modifications before the film’s release.
‘OMG 2’ is set to release on 11th August 2023 in theaters. Fans are excited to witness the magic and experience the enriching cinematic journey. With its stellar cast and promising storyline, the movie is expected to captivate audiences and continue the legacy of its prequel.
