Netflix’s “Heera Mandi” Trailer Surpasses 13 Million Views in One Day

The official trailer of the upcoming Netflix drama series “Heera Mandi” has achieved a remarkable milestone, surpassing 13 million views on YouTube within just one day of its release. Netflix released the trailer on April 10th, Wednesday.

“Heera Mandi” depicts the lives of tawaifs in Lahore’s Red-light district during the Indian independence movement against British rule.

The cast of this historical drama series includes Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadda, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Sharmin Sehgal.

The series is created and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, known for Bollywood blockbusters like “Devdas,” “Bajirao Mastani,” and “Gangubai Kathiawadi.”

Bhansali said, “This is a story of love, power, freedom, and extraordinary women, their desires, and struggles. It marks a new milestone in my journey. In Netflix, we found the ideal partner — one who not only shares our love for storytelling but also possesses the unparalleled capability to bring our series to the most diverse and global audience imaginable.”

The writers of this drama are Mitakshara Kumar, Vibhu Puri, Snehil Dixit Mehra, Moin Baig, Divy Nidhi Sharma, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself.

The stars of the series shared the trailer on each of their Instagram handles.

“PUSHPA” star Rashmika Mandana reacted to the trailer on her Instagram, saying, “This! A big big BIG shout out to this team! I love it when such BEAUTIFUL women come together to create something so…Magical. And to the creator who put together everything!!!! Hats off!”

Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal also gave a shout-out to the trailer.

“Heera Mandi” is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on May 1st, offering audiences a compelling narrative and stellar performances.
