Netflix has Announced Dates for the Most Awaited Season of Bridgerton

Netflix has finally put Bridgerton fans’ anticipation to rest with the announcement of the dates for the most-awaited season of Bridgerton till now. It has been announced that the third season of Bridgerton will be back in the spring of 2024. It has also been announced that this season, the series will have a total of eight episodes, which will be released in two parts. Part 1 will premiere on May 16, followed by Part 2 on June 13.
The focus in Bridgerton Season 3 will be on the romance between Penelope, played by Nicola Coughlan, and Colin Bridgerton, played by Luke Newton. We will see a heartbroken Penelope who has given up on her one-sided love for Colin after overhearing his dismissive remarks about her. She is now instead focused on finding a husband who will accept her for her true self along with her secret identity as ‘Lady Whistledown.’ But lacking confidence, she finds this a futile task. This is where Colin is supposed to step in and help Penelope gain the confidence she requires to find a suitable husband and also mend their friendship after having ruined it with his ignorance. However, in the midst of their plan going well, will they be able to figure out the feelings growing between them? This will be something we have to wait and watch.
Another complicating matter for Penelope this season will be her rift with Eloise, played by Claudia Jessie. Whether these two estranged friends will be able to resolve their conflicts and differences after their disastrous fallout in Season 2 is also an important part of this season’s storyline.
Season 3 of Netflix’s “Bridgerton” will depart from the order of Julia Quinn’s books. In the written series, the third Bridgerton sibling to take center stage is Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson in the series. However, for the series, the production company Shondaland has taken the creative liberty to focus on his younger brother Colin and his love interest Penelope first. Netflix confirmed this by sharing the first photos of Penelope and Colin in Bridgerton in their new looks from Bridgerton Season 3 during the “Tudum” event held in Brazil this year.
This season will also continue Kate and Anthony Bridgerton’s storyline from the second season. Simone Ashley, who plays Kate, said in an interview with ELLE that the story of Kate and Anthony will be much sweeter compared to “the heaviness of their story last season.” She continued that in this season, fans will be able to view their “honeymoon phase” and “Kate’s adjustment to her new role as viscountess.”
