Mr. And Mrs. Mahi to be Released on 31st May
Dharma Productions and Zee Studios announced the release date of the upcoming movie, ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ on 15th April, Monday. The film is going to be released on 31st May.
‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ is the 2nd biopic of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. It stars Rajkumar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, Rajesh Sharma, Abhishek Banerjee, Kumud Mishra, and many more.
The 1st biopic, “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story” was released in 2016, starring Late Sushant Singh Rajput, Disha Patani, Kiara Advani, and Anupam Kher. The film focuses on Captain Cool’s love life and struggles to become a cricketer. It was produced by Arun Pandey, directed by Neeraj Pandey, and written by Dilip Jha and Neeraj himself. It grossed $15 million in India and is currently the 5th highest-grossing Hindi film of 2016 in India.
Unlike the 1st biopic, ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ focuses on the sports part. This biopic is directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Hiroo Johar. The music directors of this film are Amit Trivedi and Manan Bharadwaj.
Netizens, especially Late Sushant Singh Rajput fans, are saying this new film can’t replace “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story”, neither Sushant Singh Rajput, the actor.
While, on the other side, RRR star Alia Bhatt shared her excitement on the director’s recent Instagram post where he shared the release date, “Can’t wait Sharry!!!!”
