A man in Panna, Madhya Pradesh, has accused his wife of domestic abuse, alleging that she demands money and prevents him from interacting with his family and friends. He has submitted hidden camera footage as evidence to the police and fears further violence or false accusations from his wife and her family.
In a startling case, a railway employee has accused his wife of domestic abuse and lodged a complaint with the Panna Superintendent of Police. Lokesh Manjhi, a 30-year-old loco pilot, claims that his wife, Harshita Raikwar, physically assaults him. To support his allegations, he submitted hidden camera footage as evidence.
Manjhi, who married Raikwar in June 2023, alleges that she, along with her mother and brother, has been demanding money and jewellery since their wedding. He further claims that she restricts his communication with family and friends. Desperate for help, he pleaded, “My wife beats me. Please help me, sir.”
A viral video captures Raikwar brutally attacking him, despite another woman’s attempts to intervene. At one point, she even kicked him in the face. The incident reportedly took place in Satna, where Manjhi currently resides. He asserts that he married Raikwar—whose father works at a petrol pump—without any dowry but now faces severe restrictions, as she allegedly prevents him from meeting his parents, seeing friends, or even welcoming visitors at home.
Manjhi had previously reported an incident to the Satna police on March 20, 2025, involving his wife, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law. He alleges that his wife has threatened suicide and harm to their child if he seeks police intervention. “She even consumed mosquito repellent once. I am terrified and distressed,” he stated.
Superintendent of Police Sai Krishna S. Thota confirmed receiving Manjhi’s complaint and video evidence. Since the alleged incidents occurred in Satna, the case has been transferred to the Satna police for further investigation.
