The NDA has crossed the size of 272 and formed the government, but the government, which is still in the majority, will have to follow the coalition dharma. And it will also be interesting to see whether this government will be able to take all the members along. If sources and the situation are to be believed, some factionalism has started forming within the BJP as well. Of course, the first faction is led by PM Modi himself, but now Nitin Gadkari, who is seen as Modi’s successor, is leading the second faction.

However, it would not be wrong to say that Gadkari has performed his duty well, and perhaps no other ministry or minister in Indian history has ever achieved such progress. Gadkari, a former MLA from Maharashtra and MP from Nagpur, is one of the closest people to RSS, and it would not be wrong to say that the party is also not much apart from the ideology of the Sangh. The BJP also supports the Sangh in many ways. The Sangh had helped a lot in the early days of the party, and apart from this, the big vote bank of BJP is also due to the Sangh.

Modi’s first problem will be to keep his colleagues with him, where big leaders like Rajnath Singh are angry with Modi in rallies. And many other leaders now want to see Gadkari as PM. The issue of the council of ministers can be another challenge for Modi. The earlier arbitrariness, which earned him the title of dictator, is no longer effective. Vajpayee had to face a lot of protestors due to the coalition, so it will be interesting to see how Modi will handle it.

Naidu had demanded five big ministers whose chances of being fulfilled seem almost negligible and also rejected JDU’s demand and made only two ministers. TDP leaders will remember their humiliation, which happened during Modi 2.0, and by putting up advertisements. On the other hand, it will be foolish to trust Bihari chacha Nitish. It is a surprising thing that Nitish Kumar has done nine oath ceremonies in his 18 years tenure. And maybe he is preparing to become another CM.

So the question arises: how will the government be able to survive for five years like this? Modi won the elections of ’14 and ’19 due to blindness. BJP has seen real elections for the first time, and the next elections will be a real problem for it.

The second aspect is the post of Leader of Opposition, which is very important for democracy, and BJP had kept this post dormant for the last 10 years, which is expected to be revived by Rahul Gandhi this year. It will be challenging for BJP to face the objection of the leader. As citizens, it is our responsibility to see that the government runs according to the Constitution.
