Meerut: An uproar occurred after the kidnapping of a young man in Kankerkheda, Meerut. When the police arrived, he was recovered from the forest after three hours of efforts. A shocking truth came to light after the police investigated the case.

Arshad, a resident of Nanglatashi of Kankerkheda, Meerut, staged a kidnapping and assault on Friday to call back his wife, who had gone to her maternal home. The young man made a video call to his family and informed them about the incident. Family members and police started searching for the young man. About three hours later, the young man was found lying in the forest on the side of the highway. The police admitted the man to the hospital.

Aslam, a resident of Nanglatashi, Sardhana Road, said that his younger brother Arshad works as a carpenter. Arshad was present at home on Friday. Meanwhile, he had gone to the Sardhana flyover for some work in the morning. At 11 o’clock in the morning, Arshad made a video call and told his family that some men were taking him to the highway near Jitoli flyover and beating him. The family got worried after hearing what the young man said, after which the family members hurriedly reached Jitoli flyover.

The family called and informed the police about the matter. The police conducted a two-hour search operation in the forest in search of the man. They tried to contact the man on his number, but his phone was switched off.

In the afternoon, the young man again called his family and informed them that he was lying in the forest. When the family reached there, they found him lying in a reed field. Police say that the man had created a drama to get his wife back. The young man was in an intoxicated state and has been sent for a medical examination.

Police said that the youth was married to a woman who is a resident of Jaipur. The woman had gone to her maternal home five days ago. After going to her parents’ house, the wife was not picking up her husband’s phone. He thought that his wife would return after getting information about his kidnapping, but the police exposed his drama.
