Medical aspirant named Bhairavi, hailing from the Eravar village in Tamil Nadu’s Kallakurichi, tragically took her own life by consuming pesticide, reportedly due to anxiety and stress related to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Bhairavi had been attending a NEET coaching centre in Athur and had been facing difficulties with her studies. She had confided in her parents about her challenges a few days before the incident, but they encouraged her to persevere and work harder.
Consuming the pesticide without informing anyone, Bhairavi remained in that state for three days before her relatives discovered her unconscious. She was initially admitted to the Kallakurichi Government hospital and subsequently transferred to Salem Government hospital, where she unfortunately passed away on Monday.
Her brother, Aravindhan, revealed that Bhairavi had experienced heartbreak after not clearing the NEET exam the previous year. She was determined to study MBBS and had joined a NEET coaching center in Athur. However, her struggles with understanding the material and fears of scoring low on the exam weighed heavily on her, ultimately leading to this tragic outcome.
