Markets to Remain Closed in Meerut; Doctors Support the Strike; Clinics will Not Open Until 1 PM.
In protest against the atrocities and genocide being committed against Hindus in Bangladesh, IMA doctors will keep their clinics closed until 1 PM today. Additionally, markets will also remain closed. There is also information that several schools will be shut.

In protest against the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh, Meerut will remain shut today. All trader organizations are united in support of the strike, and they are receiving backing from other groups as well. Doctors will keep their clinics closed until 1 PM. IMA doctors have also joined in solidarity, protesting against the atrocities and genocide against Hindus in Bangladesh. All city doctors will close their clinics until 1 PM today.
During this period, OPD services will be suspended, but all emergency services will remain operational to ensure patient care. IMA President Dr. Sandeep Jain informed that an emergency online meeting of the IMA Meerut branch was held on Wednesday evening, where this decision was made. Ajay Gupta, President of the Joint Trade Union, and General Secretary Sardar Daljeet Singh, along with their team, have been promoting the strike to ensure its success. Numerous trade organizations, including Begumpul Traders Union, Sadar Bazaar Traders Union, Central Market Traders Union, Naveen Mandi Traders Union, Petrol Pump Association, Khandak Bazaar Traders Union, Budhana Gate Traders Union, and others, have sent letters of support to the Joint Trade Union for the strike. The IMA doctors’ organization has also sent a letter of support to the Joint Trade Union.
In support of the strike, many schools have declared a holiday today. Although a list of these schools has gone viral on social media, no official announcement has been made. The trade union has reached out to school operators to close the schools, aiming to make the strike historic.
A meeting of the Meerut Trade Union was held regarding the shutdown at Budhana Gate under the leadership of trader leader Kushan Goyal. Traders have assured that they will keep their establishments closed. Traders from Lal Kurti, Baccha Park, Shastri Nagar, and Sadar Bazaar have been contacted, urging them to close the markets.
Rajesh Sethi, President of Arya Samaj Thaparnagar, and Ravindra Singh, Minister of the Central Arya Samiti, stated that Arya Samaj will fully participate in the protest with complete commitment.
