Man Held in Hit-and-Run Incident for Attempted Murder

New Delhi: A 24-year-old man has been arrested in an attempted murder case after allegedly ramming his car into a security guard following an argument over honking in southwest Delhi’s Mahipalpur area, police said on Monday.
According to a senior officer, Vasant Kunj police received a complaint on Sunday from Rajiv Kumar, who claimed that a car driver deliberately hit him near the Mahipalpur Flyover signal, causing multiple crush and fracture injuries to his legs and ankle.
An investigation team was formed under the supervision of ACP Vasant Vihar to probe the case. After reviewing CCTV footage from the area, police identified the vehicle as a Mahindra Thar and traced it to its owner, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Surendra Choudhary confirmed.
