Man Arrested for Kidnapping and Murdering Woman in Madanpur Khadar

In a shocking incident, a woman was kidnapped and murdered in the Madanpur Khadar area of Delhi in the wee hours of Sunday morning. The accused, identified as Rajpal, was arrested by the police after a dramatic encounter.
According to the police, the woman was sleeping on the terrace of her house along with her parents when she was kidnapped around 1:02 a.m. A PCR call was made by a local resident, alerting the police about the kidnapping. Multiple teams were deployed to scan the locality and adjoining streets, and her body was later discovered in an abandoned shanty on the same street.
When the police team confronted Rajpal, he opened fire, hitting a sub-inspector’s bulletproof jacket. In self-defense, the team returned fire, injuring Rajpal in the right leg. He was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment.
The police recovered incriminating evidence, including the clothes worn during the crime and a country-made pistol, from Rajpal. CCTV footage showed him carrying the woman on his shoulder.
Rajpal, a hotel staffer from Paharganj, has a history of strained personal relationships, including two failed marriages and ongoing issues with his third wife. He is also known for having a violent temper and a drinking problem.
The police are further investigating the motive behind Rajpal’s actions. The woman’s body was taken to AIIMS for post-mortem, and a case has been registered.
