Landmark Moment: First Group of Female Cadets to March Alongside Male Counterparts in NDA Passing Out Parade

The National Defence Academy (NDA) has announced that its first group of female cadets will participate in the passing out parade alongside their male counterparts. The momentous event is set to take place on November 30, where President Droupadi Murmu, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, will review the parade for the 145th NDA course.
The nation’s top military officers graduated from the NDA, Khadakwasla, a prestigious Tri-Services institution, last year. The first group of 19 female cadets are presently in their second year of military-cum-academic training, he said.
“Women cadets will be part of the marching contingent. They are currently in their second year. The second-year and third-year cadets take part in the passing out parade,” the official informed.
“Get ready to witness the Passing Out Parade of the 145th #NDA course on 30th Nov 23. The parade will be reviewed by Smt Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble President of India. Presenting Teaser,” the defence spokesperson, Pune, wrote on the social media platform X.
