In a significant breakthrough, Delhi Police have apprehended a 19-year-old woman linked to the infamous gangster Himanshu Bhau in connection with a murder at a Burger King outlet in Rajouri Garden, West Delhi, officials confirmed on Friday, as reported by news agency PTI. The woman, identified as Annu Dhankar, also known as ‘Lady Don,’ was captured near the Indo-Nepal border in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. Declared a fugitive in the case, Dhankar had been evading authorities since the June 18 murder at Burger King.

“Dhankar, a resident of Rohtak, Haryana, was involved in the killing of Aman at the Burger King outlet,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Amit Kaushik to PTI. On the day of the incident, three suspects arrived at the Rajouri Garden outlet on a motorcycle. While one stayed outside, two entered and fired 20-25 rounds at Aman, who was seated with a woman, killing him instantly. Over 50 customers and 10 staff members were present when the shots were fired.

Dhankar’s name emerged in the investigation as a key suspect who allegedly lured Aman to the restaurant. She reportedly befriended him on social media and arranged to meet him at Burger King, where she was with him at the time of the shooting.

According to her statement to the police, Dhankar informed Himanshu Bhau of Aman’s arrival, after which he was shot. She then returned to her PG accommodation in Mukherji Nagar, gathered her belongings, and traveled from ISBT Kashmiri Gate to Chandigarh, eventually reaching Katra via Amritsar. Dhankar disclosed that Bhau and Sahil Ritolia, her acquaintances, had promised to cover her visa and travel expenses to the U.S.

Dhankar was also linked to an earlier indiscriminate firing incident at Matu Ram Halwai Shop in Gohana. She revealed that Bhau, whom she referred to as ‘Bhau,’ regularly sent her money through a money exchange service. On October 22, Bhau advised her that the situation had calmed down and instructed her to vacate the PG, suggesting she could travel to the U.S. via Dubai. He arranged for her to meet in Lakhimpur Kheri to cross into Nepal, but she was apprehended before crossing.
