KC Venugopal Confident of Sweeping Kerala in Phase 2 of Lok Sabha Election

KC Venugopal, the general secretary of Congress, expressed unshakeable trust in the future of his party.

Venugopal boldly stated that he is sure Congress will win Kerala this time. Venugopal further affirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was concerned about the Congress’s increasing influence. Following the first round of elections and its tendency to criticise the party’s platform. He was alluding to Prime Minister Modi’s scathing criticism of the Congress platform. In which he vowed to give the nation’s wealth to “those who have more children” and “infiltrators.”

Because “he is fighting for the people, he is fighting for democracy,” the Congress leader seemed certain that Rahul Gandhi, the current Member of Parliament for Wayanad, would receive a higher percentage of the vote in his area this time.

Pinarayi Vijayan, the chief minister of Kerala, and his family went to Kannur to cast their votes. Along with others in the queue, VD Satheesan, the Kerala Leader of Opposition and a Congress leader, also cast his ballot. Later on, Satheesan, in an interview with ANI, expressed confidence in the India bloc’s ability to win all 20 seats in the southern state. 

Balurghat and Raiganj, two prominent Darjeeling seats, are holding elections in West Bengal. Sukanta Majumdar, the state president of the BJP, is running for reelection from the Balurghat seat; the results of the votes will determine her fate.

In addition, polling is taking place in Ghaziabad, Noida, and Greater Noida. After casting his ballot, BJP candidate for Ghaziabad, Atul Garg, urged all voters to use their democratic right to appoint a competent and capable government.

At the moment, 1,210 applicants are competing in this round. With 74 candidates, the BSP has fielded the most in this phase. Followed by the BJP with 69 and the Congress with 68.
