Jammu Businessman Buys Land on the Moon
After the success of Chandrayaan-3, citizens of India now have their eyes on the Aditya L-1 Mission. As our scientists are making progress in space research and projects, it is making India more familiar with galaxies and other planets and helping them explore the basic needs on different planets for future survival. As we can see, scientists are sending rockets to the moon; similarly, big businessmen and celebrities are buying land on the moon. The Jammu-based businessman, Rupesh Masson, aged 49 years, is the regional director of UCMAS for Jammu and Kashmir and Leh, and he buys land on the moon.
He has bought land at Luna Earth’s Moon, Tract 55-Parcel 10772, known as Lacus Felicitatis (Lake of Happiness). He has purchased the land from The Lunar Registry in New York City, and it is certified. The land is known as Lacus Felicitatis (Lake of Happiness) by the company. The current rate of the plot on this location on the moon is ₹2,405 per acre ($29.07 per acre), as shown on the website. There are other locations on the moon, like the Sea of Rain, the Bay of Rainbows, etc.
Talking about the reason behind buying the land on the Moon, Masson said that the moon is either a token of hope for the future. He further added that around 675 celebrities and three former presidents of the USA own extra-terrestrial land on the moon and on different planets. It can also serve as a cost-effective psychological escape hatch for the person confronting climate change. The successful landing also gave a boost to the sale of land on the moon. “Due to extremely high order volume following the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3, we are currently experiencing lengthy processing and fulfillment delays,” said The Lunar Registry on its official website.
